Château Saint-Pierre in Pomerol, a beautiful gem to discover

The Pradel family, working in the wine industry since 1740, owns this 3 hectare jewel located in the heart of the village of Pomerol and its eponymous appellation. The vines of the domain are planted on terroirs of a rare quality: four parcels located near the very prestigious domains of Pomerol, Fleur-Pétrus, Clinet, Trotanoy, Le Pin and Vieux Château Certan. 

The wines of Château Saint-Pierre are imbued with a distinctive personality, a deft blend of power and finesse which combines the strengths of different terroirs.

2021, an intense and demanding vintage

The wines in this vintage are quite different from previous vintages, different but no less balanced. The alcohol levels are lower than what we have known in the last decades, which gives the wines elegant, fresh and floral bouquets.
2021 is a real blending vintage where Cabernet Franc plays a major role in providing structure and maturity. The result is fresh and fruity wines, with a relative concentration but with subtle and powerful tannins.
