Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux
byJane Ansonthe1/27/2024
The inaugural (released) vintage of Duhart Blanc is showing so well, mouthwateringly juicy, white peach, wet stones, with length, grip and savoury pear, white peach fruits and crushed mint. Plenty of structure also, reflecting its dominant Sémillon makeup, unusual for whites from the Médoc region. The vines are located by those of Lafite Rothschild, near to the St Estèphe border, on clay, limestone and gravel terroir. Integral vinification in barrel, no new oak.
