Four centuries of Medoc history along with the uncompromising quality goals shared with the Japanese owners - Suntury Group - since 1983 have inspired Château Lagrange, 3rd Grand Cru Classé in 1855.

Les Arums de Lagrange, freshness, tension and energy

Historically, a large number of Chateaux in the Medoc used to produce white wine for their own consumption or receptions. "Les Arums de Lagrange" one created in 1996 and is one of the very first white wines in the Médoc to be vinified in barrel. Its vineyard covers an area of 11 hectares and is located on two distinct soils of gravelly sand and limestone clays from two different municipalities in the Medoc.
The perfect harmony between the creaminess of the Sémillon and the freshness of the Sauvignons gives a nice tautness to this delicate wine. A wine that seduces us with its irresistibly refreshing style.

Climatic conditions: 

In 2023, most of the rain was outside the vine growth period, replenishing the soil's water reserves. The season was early and warm, leading to perfect maturity of the grapes. The technical teams managed to deal with the difficulties of June to prepare for the summer season and the harvest. Harvesting went serenely, with a generous harvest and grapes in perfect health.

Tasting notes: 

The arrival of cool nights means that the necessary freshness has been preserved. The first juices are very aromatic, with notes of grapefruit and lemon. The 2023 whites wines are shaping up to bev anthology wines at Château Lagrange.
