The concentration of this vintage is akin to royal jelly, with residual sugar reaching an astonishing 190 g/l. Facing the challenges of the hot, dry, and low-yielding vintage like 2022, Château Suduiraut achieved an incredible level of freshness through the natural concentration of small berries. Compared to traditional vintages, this wine has a lesser presence of saffron and curry spices, but instead boasts more fruitiness of dried apricots, peach preserves, longan, floral honey, and sugarcane. However, the eager spiciness of ginger reveals the unexpected complexity of this vintage in full force. During En Primeur, I predicted it would have an exceptionally long lifespan, but to my surprise, even right after bottling, it already displays the proud character of a noble rot wine.
