Le Haut-Médoc de Branaire-Ducru’s vineyard is situated in Cussac village, near Saint-Julien. The 2.9 Hectares are situated on a fine gravel plateau. The vineyard is planted with the traditional density of 10 000 vine plants per Hectare.

The harvest is completely handmade. Grapes are vinified with the same attention as grapes coming from Saint-Julien Appellation.

Modern facilities, and in particular the gravity fill vats store, allow to make a wine with the same spirit than Branaire Ducru and Duluc: purity of the fruit, perfect balance and elegance.

Following the tradition of the Grands Crus, le Haut-Médoc de Branaire-Ducru is aged around 12 months in barrels.

Le Haut-Médoc de Branaire-Ducru shows on the nose a beautiful complexity of red and black fruits, with a nice precision, accompanied by fine spicy notes.
The palate is soft, supple, with well integrated refined tannins.
The wine is approachable from today and will give pleasure for the next 10 years.

An earthy character with notes of dark fruit, bark, cedar, cigar ashes and graphite. Medium-bodied with polished yet chewy tannins and a velvety mouthfeel. Toned, focused and lingering with a juicy finish. Drink or hold.
