Sporting a deep garnet-purple color, the 2019 Grand Mayne comes galloping out of the glass with powerful notes of crushed blackberries, warm black plums and baked black cherries plus suggestions of spice box, smoked meats, licorice and mocha. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is jam-packed with spicy black fruit preserves, supported by ripe, rounded tannins and just enough freshness, finishing with great persistence and an invigorating peppery kick.
