Cathiard Vineyard - Napa Valley 2022
Cathiard vineyard: Florence and Daniel Cathiard's new adventure in Napa Valley.
In 1990, Florence and Daniel Cathiard fell in love with Château Smith Haut Lafitte and its protected nature. In 2020, when the couple discovered Cathiard Vineyard and its rich biodiversity, it was again love at first sight. On the slopes of the Mayacamas, lakes and trees form an idyllic landscape where the vine has reigned for more than a century.
Florence and Daniel Cathiard bring their vision and their know how to write a new chapter for this historic family vineyard, situated in both the Rutherford and St. Helena AVA's. They have also invested a lot to elevate the expression of this unique wine: they have rebuilt a new winery with newstainless steel, double skin reverse small tanks, they have refurbished the long horseshoe cellar in the heart of the mountain and they have launched the construction of an on-site cooperage.

Tasting notes:
"A complex bouquet of dark fruits, tobacco notes and hints of Valrhona chocolate. The palateisrichly textured and elegant, with velvety tannins thatcoat the mouth seamlessly. A lingering, fresh finish enhances the pureexpression of old vines, showcasingthe depth and character of ourterroir at its finest."
