Castle of Glana - Saint Julien 2011
Built in 1870, the Château du Glana is located on the Route des Grands Vins, between the villages of Beychevelle and Saint-Julien, opposite Château Ducru-Beaucaillou. It owes its creation to the morcellement of the Chateau Saint-Pierre, Fourth Classified Growth in 1855. One of the most prestigious Médoc wines, this property has enjoyed an unprecedented and constant improvement in quality since 1999. The complete restoration of the buildings, the care, the reflection and the new methods brought to the vineyard bring a judicious balance between modernity and tradition to give wines appreciated in their youth and with a potential of custody for more than ten years.
