Der von sandig-kiesigen Böden stammende Benjamin de Beauregard besteht überwiegend aus Merlot. Das frische Bouquet verfehlt nicht, den Einfluss des Cabernet Franc zu betonen, auch wenn er weitgehend in der Minderheit ist. Der Wein ist schlank im Auftakt und gewinnt langsam an Breite. Seine etwas straffen Tannine werden sich während des Ausbaus abrunden. Ein Wein, der in seiner Jugend genossen werden kann.

Chocolate, flowers, black cherries, plums, spice, truffle, and licorice nuances open the nose. On the palate, the wine is soft, polished, fresh, dark, and chewy, with chalky, dark red pit fruits, along with touches of orange rind, espresso, and cocoa on the backend. Give this just a few years, and it will be fully ready-to-go. The wine blends 74% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink from 2027-2042. 13.5% ABV. 92-94 Pts.

Well located estate with deep gravels and clay subsoils, on the edge of the plateau, high Cabernets in the blend (including Sauvignon for the first time this year), and it works brilliantly in 2023, with rippled blueberry and raspberry fruits, great intensity, liqourice bud, Organic. 40% new oak, 43hl/h yield, 3.8ph, 55% of production 1st wine, selected by terroir, Vincent Priou director.

The 2023 Beauregard is a sleek, racy Pomerol. Spice, new leather and floral top notes meld into a core of dark-toned fruit. This is the second year in which the wine includes a portion of Cabernet Sauvignon planted in 2006. Firm tannins make themselves felt on the sustained finish.

This is very tight, transparent and sleek. Medium body, very fine tannins and a racy, bright finish. The tannins are so refined and polished. 74% merlot, 20% cabernet franc and 6% cabernet sauvignon. From organically grown grapes.
