Wine Advocate

Consistently a good value pick among shrewd
consumers, this wine, from one of the estates Alain
Vauthier owns in St.-Emilion beside the famous
Ausone, has a dark purple color, a big, sweet kiss of
black currants, raspberries, crushed rock, and floral
notes. It is medium to full-bodied, displays good, sweet
tannin, and comes across as slightly unevolved and
may have just finished malolactic fermentation. I am
not so sure it is as strong as his 2005, but this wine is
very promising nevertheless. (Tasted once.)
