A blend of 55% Sémillon and 45% Sauvignon Gris, the 2022 Virginie de Valandraud Blanc is stunning, with ripe citrus, honeyed flowers, and a kiss of pineapple. Medium-bodied and concentrated, it has a beautifully integrated sense of minerality. Aged for nine months in a mix of used oak barrels and concrete tanks, it should evolve gracefully for 10-12 years. Total production: 500 cases.

The 2022 Virginie de Valandraud Blanc offers an attractive bouquet with white peach, pear and light rosemary scents that unfurl nicely in the glass. The palate is well balanced, fresh and taut with crisp acidity, cohering into a more textural white Bordeaux with a Pessac-like finish. Drink over the next decade.

Successfully delivers lift and grip, with cloves and star anise, alongside fragrant herbs, citrus peel and a joyful edge. There is some heat on the finish but this is an upgrade from En Primeur. Harvest August 25 to August 15, 50% concrete vats and 50% neutral oak, Athanase Fakorellis wine consultant, Jean-Luc Thunevin owner.

Fresh and lightly saline, showing lime zest, white fruit, green spices and cream on the nose. Medium- to full-bodied, this is textured on the palate and in the finish. Phenolic and structured with subtle salinity at the end. Well-crafted and long. Drink now or hold.

Rich, creamy and opulent, the 2022 Virginie de Valandraud Blanc is terrific. Aging in concrete helps retain freshness. Citrus peel, almond, chamomile, white pepper and crushed rocks are beautifully delineated. This is a gorgeous second wine from Valandraud.

The 2022 Virginie de Valandraud Blanc has a clean and precise bouquet with Conference pear and light lime aromas. The palate is well balanced with a lovely resinous texture, crisp acidity with ample "bite" on the tangy, pear and lime finish. Delicious.

A blend of 45% Sauvignon Blanc and 55% Semillon, the 2022 white Virginie de Valandraud is already in bottle and has a pH of 3.25. It skips out with bright, energetic notes of Golden Delicious apples, honeydew melon, and lemon tart, with touches of allspice and lime leaves. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is wonderfully pure and intense, with lovely freshness and a spicy lift on the finish.

Issu d'une parcelle de 1,5ha sur un sol argilo-calcaire, ce vin se distingue par la finesse et la subtilité de son bouquet. Il révèle d’invitantes notes de poires et de pêches complétées par une touche exotique et des nuances de citronnelle. Le vin a un peu de corps et, surtout, une rafraîchissante acidité qui se veut structurante et salivante. Un vin persistant qui crée le lien entre gourmandise et tempérament.

The 2022 Château Valandraud Virginie De Valandraud Blanc checks in as 55% Sémillon and 45% Sauvignon, I believe brought up in barrels (although not marked by wood in anyway). Ripe citrus, honeyed minerality, mint, lime, and floral notes flow to a medium-bodied, bright, racy, incredibly focused white that stays textured and balanced. The alcohol is 14.5%, so there's plenty of power here, but the pH is 3.25, so it has ample acidity as well.

The 2022 Virginie de Valandraud Blanc offers up scents of tangerine oil, mint, white flowers and crushed rocks. Bright and sculpted, the Virginie Blanc has a bit more mid-palate intensity than in most years. It's a style that works quite well. Drinking window : 2025-2030

The palate is fresh, fruity, and loaded with sweet yellow citrus, a gentle touch of herbs, and licorice that enters at the end of the finish. The wine blends 55% Semillon with 45% Sauvignon Blanc. Drink from 2025-2031.
