A more dense and chewy red with full body, angular tannins and a flavorful finish. Full body, juicy fruit. Sweeter and leafy in the finish. A blend of 51% cabernet sauvignon, 35% merlot, 6% carmenere, 5% cabernet franc and 3% petit verdot. Drink now.

Dark red. Ripe cherry and blackcurrant on the nose, with a seductive array of resinous herbal and floral qualities adding complexity. Deeply concentrated red fruit flavors are brightened by tangy minerals and firmed by solid tannins, with the finish showing excellent chewy persistence. The rather Old World structure of this Bordeaux blend suggests that cellaring will be rewarded. -- Josh Raynolds

The 2004 Sena is purple-colored with a super-expressive nose of toasty oak, earth, graphite, espresso, black currant, and blackberry liqueur with a hint of mint in the background. This is followed by a layered wine with gobs of spicy black fruits, great depth, and a long, 45+ second finish. Give it 6-8 years of additional aging and drink it through 2035.

The 2004 gives some easy aromas of milk chocolate, mint, herbs, olives and eucalyptus. As it opens, the tannins get stickier and the flavors of chocolate, plum, cassis and tobacco expand. On the finish, look for vanilla and good herbal length.
