Saint-Pierre (Pomerol) - Pomerol 2023
Château Saint-Pierre in Pomerol, a beautiful gem to discover
The Pradel family, working in the wine industry since 1740, owns this 3 hectare jewel located in the heart of the village of Pomerol and its eponymous appellation. The vines of the domain are planted on terroirs of a rare quality: four parcels located near the very prestigious domains of Pomerol, Fleur-Pétrus, Clinet, Trotanoy, Le Pin and Vieux Château Certan.
The wines of Château Saint-Pierre are imbued with a distinctive personality, a deft blend of power and finesse which combines the strengths of different terroirs.
The 2023 vintage:
Climatic conditions:
The 2023 vintage was marked by a warm winter and spring, followed by an unpredictable summer and a warm autumn. The weather conditions called for particular care in working the vines, especially during the fruit set in June and the ripening phase in July-August. The harvest took place from September 8 to 23, with some rainfall.
Tasting notes:
Intense, nose dominated by floral (violet) notes, mingled with fine sandalwood. The suave attack announces the softness of the tannins, giving way to a sustained aromatic note of black tea and rose. A wine with a bewitching perfume, accompanying an airy, unctuous and dynamic body.
