Das komplexe Bouquet von Rouget 2023 vereint Frische und Reife mit Noten von Orangenschalen, reifen dunklen Beeren und süßen Gewürzen. Der Wein ist seidig und charmant im Auftakt. Er wirkt fein, leicht cremig und wird von samtenen, bestens eingebundenen Tanninen gestützt. Ein köstlicher Rouget, den man schon in seiner Jugend genießen kann.

Cassis, smoky darker fruits, tobacco, damp earth, and some chocolaty notes all emerge from the 2023 Château Rouget, a richer, concentrated, powerful 2023 that has some spicy background oak, ripe, chalky tannins, medium to full body, and a great finish. It lacks a touch of elegance in its tannins, but this beauty brings beautiful fruit, texture, and length. Tasted twice.

Flowers, spice, black raspberries, cherries, and herbs create the nose. The wine is supple, creamy, fresh, and vibrant on the medium-bodied, palate. The energetic finish leaves you with loads of sweet, ripe, red fruits with a sprig of mint on the backend. Drink from 2027-2043. 92-94 Pts.

The 2023 Rouget is plush, silky and super-expressive. All the elements are impeccably balanced. Crushed flowers, spice, red/purplish fruit, mint and blood orange build nicely with time in the glass. Sensual and refined, Rouget is terrific in 2023. Rouget has always been a pretty extroverted Saint-Émilion. These days, picking a bit earlier and a touch of stem inclusion (30%) in the Merlots yields a bit more freshness, but there is still plenty of the textural richness that is such a signature here. Tasted two times.

Dark ruby, deep core, purple reflections, brightening on the edge. Delicate hints of lime zest and violets, fresh red berries and cherries, inviting bouquet. Medium body, sweet berryish fruit, subtle tannins, somewhat broad, mild acidity, fruity finish, indi- vidualistic late harvest style.
