Parusso - Bussia Vigna Munie Riserva - Barolo Ac. 2015
Marco Parusso, the greatness of Barolo
The Parusso family has spent over 120 years evolving from farmers to renowned vintners, producing internationally acclaimed wines rooted in tradition, family values, and respect for their land. Now led by the fourth and fifth generations, their 28-hectare vineyards in Piemonte include parcels in Monforte d’Alba and Castiglione Falletto. In exceptional years, they craft two prestigious Barolo Riservas from their Bussia cru, released after 10 years of aging.
Barolo Bussia Riserva “Etichetta Oro” Vigna Munie is crafted from a meticulous selection of Nebbiolo grapes from the Vigna Munie vineyard in Bussia, Monforte d’Alba. This Riserva offers extraordinary emotions by presenting depth and structure, reflecting its long aging in the cellar.
The 2015 vintage:
In 2015, a snowy winter provided ample water reserves, followed by a mild spring that advanced flowering. Despite a hot, dry July, the vineyards thrived, leading to early grape ripening. Production was normal, with excellent grape health and minimal hail damage, thanks to targeted green harvesting and careful foliage management.
