Il s'agit d'un Haut Marbuzet très tendre et léger pour le millésime, avec une bouche en demi-puissance. La finale est à la fois délicate et soyeuse, mais pas très intense. On peut le boire.

From one of my favorite chateaux, Haut Marbuzet's 2000 is a modest disappointment. The wine lacks fat and substance, and comes across as somewhat woody, without the concentration and flesh one would expect from this well-run estate. The 2000 has a deep ruby color and a sweet nose of currants, plums, and cranberries intermixed with plenty of toasty vanilla. In the mouth, it is light, medium-bodied, soft, and best drunk over the next 3-5 years.

Always a high achiever. Rich red, with spice, vanilla and plummy character. Full- to medium-bodied, with plenty of rounded tannins and a medium finish. Bit tough now, but better with time. Best after 2008. 30,000 cases made.

When retasted in March, the 2000 Haut-Marbuzet was performing at essentially the same level as the 2001. It was just more textured and fatter, but qualitatively no better. no rating

I can't believe this is an accurate example of the 2000 Haut Marbuzet as it was brutally tannic, out of balance, and disjointed. Judgement is reserved until I can retaste it from bottle. no rating
