Wine Advocate

From one of my favorite chateaux, Haut Marbuzet's 2000 is a modest disappointment. The wine lacks fat and substance, and comes across as somewhat woody, without the concentration and flesh one would expect from this well-run estate. The 2000 has a deep ruby color and a sweet nose of currants, plums, and cranberries intermixed with plenty of toasty vanilla. In the mouth, it is light, medium-bodied, soft, and best drunk over the next 3-5 years.
