Vinous

The 2018 Coutet is more backward than its peers, but it is well defined with dried honey, white flowers and subtle saffron scents. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity courtesy of its limestone soils. This has good tension even if the finish would benefit from more complexity. There is a lovely spicy aftertaste that hangs around for 30+ seconds, completing a very appealing Coutet that should give three decade's of drinking pleasure.
