The 2020 Fourcas Dupré has lively blackberry, raspberry and citrus fruit on the nose, touches of cedar and pencil lead coming through with aeration; this has a fine attack. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannins, fine acidity and a slightly brittle texture, but it’s harmonious and full of tension on the finish. This is classic Listrac that should age with style.

The smoke, spice, cedar, espresso and dark red fruits smell great. On the palate the wine is round, medium/full-bodied, soft, fruity, fresh and chewy. There is length and energy here. Drink this well-priced, character-filled Left Banker over the next 10-15 years. 89-91

The 2020 Fourcas-Dupre has a medium to deep garnet-purple color and notes of ripe black plums, blackberry preserves and blackcurrant pastilles with touches of ground cloves, wild sages and fragrant earth. The medium-bodied palate features bright, crunchy black and red berry flavors with a soft texture and bags of freshness, finishing long and invigorating. Nicely done!

Avec des notes d'épices, de menthol, de boisé/grillé et légèrement fumé, le nez est délicat. En bouche, les tanins sont structurants, serrent un peu, des notes fumées se font jour même si l'ensemble reste équilibré. Un peu tannique mais un temps d'élevage arrondira l'ensemble.
