The second wine of Château Lagrange, the 2021 Les Fiefs de Lagrange comes from younger vines and is 52% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 8% Petit Verdot. It delivers classy plum and cassis fruits as well as medium-bodied richness, a supple, elegant mouthfeel, the vintage's fresher, lively style, and solid aromatics of plums, cassis, tobacco, and violets.

The 2021 Les Fiefs de Lagrange has a light but well-defined bouquet with mainly red fruit, a little loam and cedar. The palate is medium-bodied and nicely balanced with supple tannins. An easygoing yet smooth Deuxième Vin that should have wide appeal.

The 2021 Les Fiefs de Lagrange is a terrific second wine. Bright and vibrant in the glass, the 2021 bristles with red/purplish fruit accented by floral, blood orange and spice top notes. The Fiefs is absolutely delicious today, and, quite frankly, irresistible.

Amounting to some 61% of the estate's production, the 2021 Les Fiefs de Lagrange offers up attractive aromas of cassis, plums, tobacco leaf and nicely integrated oak. Medium to full-bodied, ample and charming, it's a supple, seamless wine that will drink well on release.
