Composed of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, the 2019 L'Esprit de Chevalier was harvested from the 23rd of September to the 13th of October. The alcohol weighed in at 13.5%. It is aging in French oak barrels, 33% new, for around 14 months. Deep garnet-purple in color, it offers up an open-knit nose of plum preserves, warm blueberries and blackberry pie with touches of powdered cinnamon, cedar chest and unsmoked cigars. Medium-bodied, the palate has lovely freshness and purity, with a pleasant chewiness to the texture and a bright, cheery finish.
