Vinous 94 byNeal Martinthe4/2/2024 The 2010 Coutet demanded some coaxing like the 2009, eventually offering sensual aromas of honeysuckle, jasmine and quince, although I feel the 2009 has a greater presence. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, fresh and focused with commendable
Vinous 95 byNeal Martinthe4/30/2020 The 2010 Coutet has quite an intense bouquet with linseed oil and wax resin infusing the dried honey aromas, then orange pith and a touch of saffron. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. Harmonious and extremely well focused, this conveys a sense of energy on the finish that makes you want to return for another sip. Excellent. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners 10-Year On Bordeaux horizontal. Drink 2023-2060
Wine Advocate 91 byLisa Perrotti-Brownthe3/5/2020 Medium lemon-gold colored, the 2010 Coutet is relatively evolved, revealing honey nut, ginger ale and baked peaches scents with touches of straw, fresh figs, quince paste and nutmeg. The palate is considerably more mature than when I last reviewed this wine a couple of years age, so I suspect this bottle may have been slightly oxidized, nonetheless it offers loads of nutty nuances accenting the dried fruits, finishing deliciously spicy.

Wine Spectator 95 byJames Molesworththe3/31/2013 Offers a bright inner core of honeysuckle, pineapple, star fruit and white peach flavors, coated for now with heather honey, marzipan and mango notes. Fresh and racy through the finish, this is an elegant beauty, showing terrific cut and precision. Best from 2015 through 2030. –JM
Jamessuckling.com 94 byJames Sucklingthe2/17/2013 A sweet wine with honey and sliced apple character with lemon. Full body, medium sweet and a bright finish. It's layered and fascinating. So much spicy, botrytis and dried mushroom powder. Turns creamy. Drink or hold.
WeinWisser 18 byTjark Witzgallthe5/31/2011 Recht intensives Gelb. Faszinierend lebhafte Botrytis, gelbe Frucht, Reineclauden und frisch gepflükte Kamille. Viel Aromendruck im vollsüssen Gaumen, feine Säure, gebundenes Finale, ein sehr cremiger Coutet. 2015-2055
Asian Palate 94-95 byJeannie Cho Lee MWthe5/24/2011 The 2010 Coutet exhibits wonderful aromatics of dried mangoes, dried apricots and marmalade, and a great concentration of botrytis flavours. Rich, dense but with firm acidity and great length, this is an impressive effort from a producer not usually known for reaching such heights. This fantastic Sauternes shows a wonderful balance between sweet layered flavours and firm acidity, has a long lingering finish and is built to age for decades. This is one for your cellar.

Jancis Robinson 18 byJancis Robinsonthe4/26/2011 Smudgy and interesting, already, on the nose. Lots of richness and smoothness. Really. This approaches the idea of a classic vintage with its density and concentration. Long. Very fine. RS 156 g/l, TA 4.2. Drink 2022-2040
