There is a hint of spiciness and rawness here that detracts from the fruit, and while it is very nearly complete, I feel that the balance is out of whack, and the fruit is left wanting in 2021. 15.5?

The 2021 Clément-Pichon has a clean, fresh bouquet of blackberry, wild hedgerow and very light mint aromas. The palate is balanced with slightly gritty tannins, some weight on the midpalate, sapid black fruit and an old-school, tobacco-tinged finish. This should drink well for 12–15 years. A nice surprise.
