The 2020 Clément-Pichon has meliorated on the nose since tasting it from barrel, with more cohesion, brambly red fruit intermixed with tobacco and cedar. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, tobacco-infused black fruit but it pulls up a bit short on the off-dry finish. Needs more personality.

baies noires et d'épices douces. Ses tannins assurent une belle tenue à l'ensemble du palais et sont
parfaitement intégrés. Un vin de bonne densité qui mérite un peu d'épanouissement.

The 2020 Clément-Pichon is a beautiful, exotic wine. Crazy aromatics lead into a core of inky red/purplish berry fruit, cedar, tobacco, mint and sweet pipe tobacco, all laced together. The 2020 is a bit eccentric, but it is also loaded with character and personality.

The 2020 Clément-Pichon has a tightly wound, rather stoic nose that remains tight-lipped despite constant aeration. The palate is more forthcoming, featuring tarry black fruit laced with cedar and mint, although the oak impedes and slightly dries the finish. This will require a very prudent élevage.

The medium-bodied palate is lively and refreshing with a subtle chewiness to the texture and just enough red and black fruit flavors, finishing savory.
