A year in, year out value, the 2015 La Vieille Cure might just be the best yet. This full-bodied, opulent, incredibly sexy 2015 gives up loads of black currants, tobacco, Asian spices, and earth-like aromas and flavors. With low acidity, a mouth-filling, dense, sumptuous texture, and sweet tannin, it’s a downright old-world fruit bomb that’s a joy to drink. Buy a case and drink bottles over the coming decade or more.

Nez un peu réduit. Il se laisse davantage décrypter au palais. Corps souple, charnu, avec un tanin bien enrobé.

It's really hard to find a better wine for the money from Bordeaux year, after year. The wine has richness, silky, polished tannins, fresh, ripe, sweet, juicy dark red fruits, licorice, smoke and sweetness that when coupled with its consumer friendly pricing policy makes this a must buy, for value conscious consumers.

The 2015 La Vieille Cure has a clean and precise bouquet: black cherries, wild strawberry and subtle floral scents emerging from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent and fleshy tannin. There is impressive weight here. It is very smooth in texture with a figgy, cedary finish that needs to develop just a little more freshness during its barrel maturation. Still, this Fronsac has good potential and I expect it to settle comfortably at the top of my banded score, once in bottle.

Rich, round and full flavoured with spice and dark fruit notes. A lovely mid-palate; tannins well rounded. Seductive wine that will be accessible early. 2019-2028

The 2015 La Vieille Cure is exceptional. Rich, ample and creamy, the 2015 offers superb intensity throughout. Dark cherry, plum, menthol, spice and licorice are some of the notes that build into the sumptuous finish. Even with all of its intensity, this modern, racy Fronsac retains terrific freshness and overall energy. There is so much to like. Tasted three times.

Very dark crimson. Good focus of ripe fruit on the nose. Slightly sweet and sour rather than well integrated, but an honest country wine.Drink 2020-2027

LVC made the grade this year with blackberry, mineral and spice aromas and flavors. Walnut skin too. Full body, integrated tannins. Long and beautiful.

A very bright, lively style, with a light peppery edge to the red currant and cherry flavors, backed by fresh savory and tobacco notes. This flirts with the herb side of the spectrum, but the fruit is solid.—J.M.

Conseillé par l'équipe RollandCouleur sombre, intense et belle. Nez au fruité mûr. Touche fumée. Bouche particulièrement fruitée,grasse, juteuse, de forme ronde, qui chute un peu en finale, mais reste savoureuse. Longueur normale.
