The 1985, with a deep ruby color and a complex bouquet of spicy oak and ripe currants, offers extremely well-balanced and well-delineated flavors, medium body, excellent depth, and firm, but soft tannins. Anticipated maturity: Now-2005. Last tasted, 3/90.
