Vinous

The 2018 La Sirene de Giscours, matured in 30% new oak, has a high-toned bouquet that is a bit too ostentatious for my liking, featuring baked black cherries, fig and dates and just missing some Margaux DNA. The medium-bodied palate is sweet and rounded, with saturated tannins and a slightly confit-like finish. This is enjoyable but lacks a bit of typicité due to the warmth of the growing season.
