One of the gems from Pomerol is the 2017 La Fleur De Gay and it’s not far off what the estate accomplished in 2015. Gorgeous black raspberries, Asian spices, and floral notes all flow to a medium-bodied, silky 2017 that has fine tannin, no hard edges, and a great finish. While it plays in the more elegant, mid-weight style of the vintage, it’s a beautiful wine that will benefit from short-term cellaring and keep for a decade.
