The Château La Dauphine 2014 has a lot of richness on the nose, with red cherries and creme de cassis, a big and bold style of Fronsac. The palate is chewy and dense, grippy in the mouth with bold, assertive, sweet figgy fruit. One sample was difficult to asses, another showed more freshness on the finish. It feels quite assertive but has little in the way of finesse. Hopefully it will mellow by the time of bottling. Tasted on four separate occasions.
