Black cherry and licorice on the nose, lifted by a floral topnote. Sweet and solid on the palate, with slightly medicinal flavors of black cherry, plum, licorice and chocolate. This could use a bit more pliancy and flesh but nonetheless comes across as more elegant than the wines made here earlier this decade.

Am Gaumen mittelgewichtig, zarter Schokoladetouch, präsente Tannine, mineralisch, im Abgang eher leichtgewichtig, aber mit süßem Finish, bereits harmonisch und antrinkbar.

This is well-balanced on the palate, very harmonious with an attractive reserved personality, not as gregarious as previous vintages and all the better for it. Quite silky towards the finish with notes of black cherries, blueberry and a touch of vanilla. Good length albeit simple. Tasted April 2008.
TAST 17 / 20 the4/29/2008 Le travail fait à la vigne porte ses fruits et ce Nénin 2007 part dans la vie avec plus de définition de terroir et de précision dans la saveur que dans les millésimes précédents. Il associe, dans un équilibre aussi réussi que possible pour l’année, puissance et finesse, avec un tannin moins strict, moins “médocain” qu’en 2005 ou 2006, et plus de volupté en arrière-bouche.
