Shows good grace for a Listrac, with a solid core of raspberry and black cherry fruit laced with hints of savory and tobacco, all carried by a pebbly but integrated structure. Drink now through 2015.   –JM

This shows loads of fruit and lovely depth. Full and chewy yet polished and beautiful. Gorgeous wine here. Better in 2016.

The Fourcas Dupre has a touch of chalk dust on the nose: crisp and lively, with leafy, bell pepper aromas emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied, perhaps a little simplistic with a light finish that drifts away just a little towards the finish. Tasted November 2012.

Firm, concentrated, dry wine. It seems to be all structure, until the sweet juicy plum fruits show through.

Extremely rich on the nose then gorgeously smooth and polished but with freshness. Almost Margaux-like with a 2010 density. Very impressive at the stage. Just falls aways a little on the end. A tiny bit stringy, but very well done!
Tasted later the same day. Very dark blackish crimson. Heady wine taken to the limit of ripeness. Luscious in the mouth with sufficient acidity. Lots of tannin but no excess of sweetness nor alcohol. A bit sweet and soft. Certainly better than any wine from this property that I can remember.

Fine, slightly leathery cassis fruit, good depth, more flesh and more polish that in the past, good future. Drink 2014-20. (16 points)

Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois primeur tasting. The Fourcas-Dupre has a pure, blackcurrant, dark plum and red cherry-scented nose with good definition, more opulent than its peers. The palate is juicy and supple, fleshy boysenberry and blackcurrant notes with a soft, pleasing finish. Fine. Tasted April 2011.

Bon nez, fruité élégant, pas de violence, tanin plutôt fin, pas de forte structure mais de l'harmonie et de la précision.

Impressive concentration for this estate with currant and fresh tobacco character, minerals and light toasted oak. Full and chewy. Best ever from here?
