Initially reduced, then opens to showcase medicinal aromas of herbs, cinnamon, orchard fruit and vanilla. Rich and creamy palate but with surprising lift. Very mouthfilling and smooth with a long, slightly warm finish. One of the best young Filhots in years.

The 2015 Filhot was showing just a little reduction on the nose when I tasted it. The palate feels balanced, fresh and clean in the mouth, a little muted at first but with a few swirls it finds its voice, and I appreciate that dab of spice on the finish. This should come together by the time of bottling and it may warrant a higher mark. Drink 2018-2032

Une révolution. Filhot parfaitement hédoniste dès la naissance, rôti exceptionnel, grande liqueur, grande longueur et finale interminable sur une note océanique légèrement saline tout à fait originale à Sauternes. Bravo. Dégusté cinq fois de façon constante.

The 2015 Filhot comes across as not fully put together just yet, especially in the aromatics, which could use a bit more focus. Still, there is lovely nuance throughout. Orange peel, lemon confit, licorice, anise and subtle earthy notes add layers of complexity.

88–90. Barrel Sample. This wine is ripe and full of sugar that is just mitigated by the drier botrytis flavors. It is fresh, with a toffee aftertaste and a pleasant profile that's easy to enjoy now.

Mittleres Gelb, lindengrüne Nuancen darin, leuchtend. Offenes, noch sanft hefig wirkendes Bouquet, zarte Senfnoten und viel blumige Untertöne (Pimpernellen) zeigend. Im Gaumen mineralisch, irgendwie an einen Riesling erinnernd, fein bitter und etwas spröde endend. Wie immer - von der Grundaromatik her - aus der Reihe tanzend und schwer einzuschätzen. 17/20 2020 – 2055
