Medium-bodied, round, soft, polished and ripe, with a sweet plum and cherry character, the wine is forward, and easy to drink, leaving with sweet plums and a hit of espresso.

The 2018 Cap St. George has a lively, well-defined bouquet of brambly red fruit, rose petal and just a hint of dark chocolate. The palate is well balanced with firm tannins, quite marine influenced but just missing a little length on the finish. It scarpers out the exit door with too much haste, which is a shame, because up until then it is very promising.

Floral and fresh, with leafy, green herbs, rocks and plums, the wine is silky, round, sweet and delivers a serious blast of ripe red fruits and stone in the finish. This will be better if you age it for a few years. The was made from blending 82% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon. It is going to be very hard to find a better wine for the money than you find here in this vintage.

A Janoueix wine, this is powerful with dark fruits and plenty of swagger. You can feel some heat, even though there is juice alongside it.
