This property has emerged from its doldrums of the sixties, seventies, and early eighties and is now producing impeccable wines. The 1990 is a highly successful effort, with an opaque dark ruby/purple color, a big, spicy, oaky, vanillin, and black cherry-scented nose, medium to full body, good tannin and grip, and a surprisingly long, structured finish. Anticipated maturity: 1995-2005.
