Sweet fragrant peony and blackberry fruits, some earthy hawthorn notes, plenty of life, waves of flavour and flesh, with cocoa bean, tobacco, sage and underbrush on the finish. The Lurtons have created an estate here that has the generosity of Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon but an energy and a precision that gives a cool climate feel, sculpted and fresh. This is the first vintage to be released through the Place de Bordeaux. 80% new oak.
