Tasted twice with consistent notes, the 2012 Lacoste Borie, a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc, has a lifted, seaweed scented bouquet with fine definition, although it is not a complex bouquet. The palate is nicely balanced with fine, grainy tannins. This is an understated Pauillac, one that is finely tuned with an appealing, silky finish that lingers long in the mouth, although it just fades on the finish. Tasted April 2013.
