Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar 85-88 / 100 par Ian D'Agata le 12/05/2012 Opaque purple. Delicate aromas of plum and cassis lifted by a pretty floral note. Then bright and juicy, with plenty of inner-mouth perfume to its black fruit flavors. Finishes with chewy tannins and decent persistence.
Wine Advocate 86-88 / 100 par Neal Martin le 27/04/2012 Representing 57% of the crop, the Les Fiefs is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot. It has an uncomplicated nose with prominent notes of cedar and pencil lead. The palate is medium-bodied with a pleasant prickle on the entry from the chalky tannins. It has a fine backbone and comes across as rather gritty and masculine towards the graphite-tinged finish. The Fiefs will be fine for early to medium-term drinking. Tasted April 2012
Jancis Robinson 16,5 / 20 par Julia Harding MW le 18/04/2012 ink 2017-2025 Bright crimson. Attractive sweet red fruit, touch of spice. Fragrant and inviting. Elegant, juicy, fresh and so bright. Fine boned and scented. Dry, fresh finish. (JH)
