Opens with a hit of straw and spice, followed by apricot and poached pear, star anise, has character but impacted by the vintage. At Chantegive they picked early, before the intense heat returned in September. 34hl/h yield, from gravel, sand and limestone soils, 50% new oak for ageing, with regular lees stirring, low temperature fermentation never straying above 20C.
