Admirable réussite et début d'évolution stylistique (que nous souhaitions intimement depuis longtemps) vers plus de fraîcheur et de pureté aromatique immédiates sans pour autant reculer en matière de splendeur de constitution. Pierre Lurton et sa brillante équilibre ont su très savamment et adroitement introduire un peu de sauvignon merveilleusement aromatique et contrôler la prise de bois. Non seulement le plus grand mais aussi sans doute le mieux fait dès 2004. On comprend parfaitement qu'il ait été pour la première fois depuis bien longtemps proposé en primeur à la dégustation.

Pierre Lurton, the manager of Yquem as well as Cheval-Blanc, told me that he really wanted to mark his arrival at the legendray estate, so he went to dranonian lengths to deliver something superb in 2004 ( he reduced the crop by half, so probably lezz than 75,000 bottles will be produced ) This shows wonderful aromas of pineapples, appels and lemons with loads of botrytis. Full-bodied, but incredibly refined and long. Superfresh and racy. It goes on and on and on. Fabulous. This has an incredible purity and brightness. Like a perfectly cut diamond.
