Les Tourrays 2015 - House Bouachon - Condrieu
The wine-growing vocation of Condrieu is very ancient and was already known in Roman times. From the fifteenth century on, the wine of Condrieu was so well known that it celebrated the festivities and offered itself to the noble personalities. Condrieu was consecrated A.O.C Locale as early as 1940 and the Viognier, a varietal that had remained local until the end of the 19th century, is now widely acclaimed. Some of the grapes used in the composition of Condrieu Maison Bouachon come from the valley called "Les Tourrays". According to legend, the origin of this name goes back to the 19th century, when the echoes of the potter's wheel could still be heard echoing in the vineyards of the steep slopes of this valley.
