Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Le Plus de la Fleur de Bouard opens with gorgeous crushed black plums, cassis and blackberry pie with touches of baking spices and lavender plus menthol hints. The full-bodied mouth is rich and concentrated with some cedar notes, very spicy, plush and voluptuous with a long finish.

An Intense, cherry liqueur penetrates the senses before submitting to the essense of lilies, irises and Gourdon flowers. A profusion of tobacco, cocoa and hints of blueberries waft through the olfactory receptors as you sip this fine 100% Merlot. This wine is like rare Turkish velvet woven around a lingering note of licorice, dark chocolate and espresso. The supple textures really carry through from the delectable start to the scrumptious finish.

The 2015 Le Plus de la Fleur de Bouärd offers notable density and plenty of impact. Black cherry, smoke, mocha, plum, licorice, torrefaction and bittersweet chocolate are some of the signatures. There is plenty of richness in the glass, but the ripe, heavily extracted style also comes with a loss of freshness. Readers should expect a big wine. Tasted two times.

Extrem dunkles Purpur mit lila und violetten Reflexen. Die Nase ist eine volle Cassisbombe, aber nicht nur, es sind auch feine Edelholznoten und nussige Konturen mit dabei. Im Gaumen füllig, die Textur ist massiv konzentriert, die Tannine zeigen aber Rundungen und die Säure weiss diesen Kraftakt zu stützen. Er wird die relativ lange Ausbaudauer – dank seinem Potential - wohl gut überstehen. 18/20 2023 – 2039
