The 2020 La Sirène de Giscours is a very pretty, compelling wine. Cabernet aromatics are so pronounced in the 2020. Wild flowers, mint, sage, pine and new leather meld into a core of supple red berry fruit. This silky, engaging Margaux has a ton to offer.

The ruby/purple-hued 2020 La Sirene De Giscours offers a slightly reductive yet promising nose of ripe black cherries and black raspberries interwoven with lots of lead pencil, graphite, and earthy goodness. They did a wonderful job with the tannins in this wine, and it’s medium-bodied, with a supple, up-front, charming style and outstanding length.

The 2020 La Sirene de Giscours has a well-defined, slightly herbal nose, fragrant black fruit intermingling with undergrowth and cigar box. The palate is medium-bodied with savory black fruit and touches of dark chocolate, though it is rather lean on the finish in the context of the growing season. Still, it has a pleasant peppery aftertaste.

An excellent Sirène, with grip and salinity yet feels approachable, sinking into a compote of blackberry and blueberry fruits, with a carefully constructed tannic frame. And a lovely glass staining colour, small berries lots of skins and juice, great stuff, a real step up. 5% Petit Verdot completes the blend.

Medium-bodied, fresh, vibrant and floral, with sweetness, length and an elegant, lifted, spicy, sweet, cherry filled finish. Enjoy this beauty while waiting for the Grand Vin to develop. The wine blends 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. 90-92

The 2020 La Sirene de Giscours is composed of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple colored, it offers up notes of crushed blackberries, black raspberries, redcurrant jelly and cranberries, plus hints of underbrush, pencil lead and sautéed herbs. The light to medium-bodied palate is a little lean in the middle, featuring a light chewiness of tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing a tad short.
