Violet, pomegranate juice, blueberries, and light cream – a myriad of delightful aromas instantly flood the senses, evoking a sense of happiness as rich and colorful as a blooming garden. In the 2022 vintage, while only 5% was fermented with whole clusters, it still beautifully expresses the unique fragrances of black tea, longan, and sour dates. The wine is sweet and juicy upon entry, smooth and mellow in the mid-palate, and as you wait, it gradually fades, enhanced by the signature “plaster tannins” from the clay and gravel terroir in Pomerol. Tasting this wine is like admiring a traditional Chinese ink wash painting, where the bold strokes are powerful, and the softer touches linger with a delicateness and fragrance.
