Saint Georges Cote Pavie - Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2019

Just a sniff is good enough to blow my mind. The scent of rose essence is so enticing, leaving people hanging on every sip. The entry of the palate is precise, delicate and bouncy, with a pure blackberry, mulberry and milk-like creamy taste. The tannins are abundant, but its texture is as velvet as cashmere; when it flows on the taste buds, it seems that you could hear the sound of rattling. Such a luscious and elegant wine is a salute to the terroir of Saint-Emilion. ??????????,??????????????,?????????????????????,????????????????????????????????????,?????????????????????????????????????????

This is full-bodied with lots of ripe fruit and juicy tannins. It’s velvety textured with an attractive ripe-berry and chocolate aftertaste. Structured, but already attractive. One of the best from here in years. Drink after 2023.

The 2019 Château Saint Georges (Côte Pavie) comes from a great terroir on the Côte Pavie, just west of Château Pavie. This deep purple effort offers a solid nose of ripe black cherries, mulberries, iron, loamy earth, and leafy herbs, with some background oak. Nicely textured, medium to full-bodied, and balanced, it's young and unevolved and is going to benefit from 3-5 years of bottle age, and I'd be shocked if it didn't evolve for 20 years if stored correctly.

Succulent red with aromas of redcurrants, crushed raspberries, rose hips and vanilla. Medium-bodied with creamy tannins and a polished, supple and round palate. Delicious chocolate and hazelnut notes to close. Drink after 2022.

Blue fruits with some cola and vanilla tones on the nose. Lovely cooling aspect on the palate, dark blue fruits, menthol aspects and softly chalky tannins. This is super svelte and charming with these lovely liquorice coffee tones at the end too. A top buy and great value for this quality

Another beautiful wine from this estate, which has a fabulous terroir on the limestone hillside of Saint-Emilion, the 2019 Château Saint Georges (Cote Pavie) reveals a deep purple color as well as perfumed notes of blue fruits, crushed flowers, graphite, and a touch of obvious minerality. It's not massive, but it’s medium to full-bodied, elegant, and beautifully balanced. It's going to evolve for two decades.

The 2019 Saint Georges (Côte Pavie) has a tightly wound bouquet with blackberry, blueberry and violet scents reluctantly emerging. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, slightly furry in texture with fine grip, though it buttons down the hatches towards the finish. Give it 4-5 years in bottle because there is potential here.

Open, forward and medium-bodied, this will deliver pleasure with not much aging, allowing you to savor the plums, earthy minerality, licorice and underbrush tones on the nose and in the finish. 88-90 Pts
