Zuidam Distillers was launched in 1975 by Fred van Zuidam. The idea was to create a small distillery that would produce only very exclusive products. He built a small distillery of 300 square meters with 1 copper alembic and 1 small production line. After a long and difficult start, it took Fred van Zuidam more than 10 years to achieve the reputation of the best distillery in the Netherlands. But it was only after his wife Helene van Zuidam started creating the packaging for the distillery's products that the company really took off. In 1989 Zuidam expanded its warehouse to reach 600 square meters and a production line. Nowadays, the two sons Patrick and Gilbert run the distillery under the watchful eyes of their parents. Patrick handles the distillery and production and Gilbert customers. They operate a state-of-the-art distillery of 3600 square meters with 4 new copper stills, over 1000 oak barrels, 4 production lines and a modern tank. During all these years, the goal of the distillery has never changed. Pleasure customers and make the best possible products.
