The biggest highlight of Prieuré-Lichine 2021 is its soft texture, resulting from the improved maceration technique (softer maceration and shorter period). The fruit is pure, the acidity is crisp, and the mouthfeel quite soothing. I love the light chalky texture on the finish, this salty aftertaste makes you mistake it for the Cabernet Franc from the right bank. I believe it would have been even better if the warmth had been better integrated into the body.
