Sleek and well judged, rippled with spiced sandalwood, liquorice, espresso, cocoa bea, well balanced and judged by juicy damson and dark berry fruits, with lift and mint leaf cooling, helped by its location in St Etienne de Lisse. Always a good quality St Emilion, consistently impressive. Hubert de Boüard consultant, Jean-François Quenin owner, 50% new oak, 5% amphora.

Black cherries, red plums, spicy oak, and savory herb notes all emerge from the 2022 Château De Pressac, another ripe, medium to full-bodied, beautifully concentrated 2022 in the vintage that brings ample mid-palate depth, building yet ripe tannins, and outstanding length. Despite all its richness and depth, it holds onto a wonderful sense of freshness and minerality, and I suspect this will evolve gracefully for 20+ years in cold cellars. It needs an hour in a decanter if drinking anytime soon.

The 2022 Château de Pressac has an intense bouquet with black cherry, orange zest, citrus peel and licorice aromas that come through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with plush, rounded tannins and fine acidity. It is quite a lush Saint-Émilion, with dark chocolate notes on the finish.

The 2022 de Pressac is a wild, exotic wine, as it so often is. Soaring aromatics make a strong first impression. Rich, deep and vibrant, the 2022 has a lot to offer, but it also needs time to come together. Blood orange, sage, mint, mocha, espresso and dried herbs blossom nicely with time in the glass. This is notably savory in character.

Bright and vibrant, a lovely cleanness , so pure, so fine and well worked, generous, appealing but the weight and the texture and the tannic integration is flawless. Round, easy, lovely black and red fruits, great chalky coolness with some minerality and liquorice, graphite tang on the finish. A wine you could drink today but know there’s power underneath. Compelling and a clear buy. Detailed, finessed, refined, balanced and crisp, juicy and charming. Everything you want in a wine.

The 2022 Château de Pressac has a vivacious and engaging bouquet, more floral than its peers but with better delineation and focus. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-boned tannins, a keen line of acidity and a sapidity on the finish that urges another sip. Excellent.

Bright violet-tinged plum colour, vivid berry fruit on the opening, with velvety texture that you really see and feel in the glass. Impressive, this has great quality and personality, with crunchy red fruit fruit that has juice without sacrifcing depth and complexity. Stands out in the appellation. The 2022 de Pressac, a blend of 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, is deep garnet-purple in color. A tad closed to begin, it soon reveals notes of crushed red and black cherries, juicy plums, and tilled soil with an underlying waft of mossy tree bark. The full-bodied palate is laden with ripe, expressive black and red berry layers, supported by velvety tannins and oodles of freshness, finishing long and earthy.

La subtilité et la fraîcheur sont les éléments-clés du bouquet ! Le fruit aussi, évidemment, dans une mesure filigrane. En bouche le vin annonce une entrée en matière délicate, même élancée. Les tannins se révèlent lentement, pas à pas, pour finalement adopter une attitude conquérante et vigoureuse. L'accord avec la structure acide est idéal et cette dernière soulève la fraîcheur et la minéralité du terroir du plateau calcaire de St-Etienne-de-Lisse. Un grand vin de Château de Pressac !

The 2022 Château De Pressac should be terrific. It has a forward, supple, incredibly charming style carrying lots of spicy red fruits, notes of leather, dried herbs, and loamy earth, medium body, plenty of mid-palate depth, and ripe tannins. I love its overall balance, and this is a seriously good 2022 that's going to offer pleasure right out of the gate. (Tasted twice.)

The 2022 de Pressac is dense, rich and explosive. Ripe dark cherry, plum, spice, menthol, licorice and chocolate give the 2022 notable depth and complexity. The tannins are very well balanced for a young Pressac, while floral top notes lift the finish. Tasted two times. Drinking window : 2028-2047
