Domaine Gentile was very early convinced of the need to respect the environment, along with tradition and typicity. Tillage - plowing, decavaillonnage, plucking - is essential in the face of weed killers or non-cultivation. No use of chemical fertilizer. Every gesture, every action, is thought because better prophylaxis is effective than treatment, even if it is preventive. The Gentile Domain is in a logic of organic farming and each action is dictated by this policy of reason. The work of the vineyard can be summed up in five words: biology, environment, prophylaxis, tradition and respect.
