Fruits rouges, frais, élégant, souple, tendu, vif, un pH bas qui donne des vins frais et friands.

The 2014 Moulin Saint-Georges is a hugely appealing, open-knit wine built on freshness and aromatics. Dark red cherry, plum, spice and floral notes abound in a racy, layered St.-Emilion that offers considerable near and medium-term appeal. This is the most immediate of the wines in the Vauthier family's range. The blend is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc.

Vanilla bean and black raspberries at first, the wine is elegant in texture with sweet, fresh, silky cherries in the finish. 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc create the blend and the wine will be aging in 85% new, French oak for 18 months. 89-91 Pts

The Château Moulin Saint Georges 2013 is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, picked between 3 and 7 October and aged in 85% new oak for what will around 18 months. The pH came in at 3.50 - Pauline Vauthier remarking that is usually lower than the family's other Saint Emilion, possibly because they do not add fertilizer on the soil. It has a bright, vivacious bouquet with blueberry jam, wild strawberry and citrus fruit. The acidity really comes through conspicuously on the palate: this is razor-sharp, very edgy with a focused, minerally finish. The question is whether it would benefit from a slightly higher pH and maybe with respect to this vintage that is true. But still, this is a well crafted, personality-driven Saint Emilion.

A dense, compact Moulin Saint-Georges that is velvety and fruity with good intensity and substance in this vintage. Dark fruits with sweet spices. There is less of the forward character of the past few vintages but more density and freshness.

Same ownership as Ausone. Juicy and fresh with finely edged tannins. Poised and elegant with the fruit present. Undemonstrative but harmonious. Drink: 2019-2029 (88)

80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc.
Very ripe; almost brûlée. A hint of animal and lots of acidity on the end. Not perfectly balanced. Astringent finish.

Drink 2019-2027 (15.5+)

This is very powerful and dense with minerals, limestone and a chalk character with hints of salt. Full body, silk tannins. Juicy and pretty.

17/20 2020 – 2032

88–90. Barrel Sample. This is a bright, fresh wine, with black currant fruit flavors and crisp acidity. Attractive fruitiness dominates in this wine, however it lacks in structure.
