Morlet, Coeur De Vallée - Napa Valley 2020

Beginning with the 2006 vintage, Luc Morlet, former winemaker of Peter Michael Winery and his wife, Jodie Morlet, have been handcrafting vins de terroir and unique cuvées of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet franc from the Napa Valley as well as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the Sonoma coast. Meticulously farmed vineyards and low-intervention winemaking techniques produce powerful yet refined wines. By taking old world principles and adapting them to Califormia, the Morlet style results in wines, which are harmonious in their intensity, richness, complexity and refinement.

The Coeur de Vallée is located in the famous Oakville appellation, in the heart of the Napa Valley. It is on the east-west road that includes Peter Michael Winery's 'Au Paradis' vineyard, Dalla Valle Vineyards, Screaming Eagle, To Kalon vineyard and Harlan Estate. To Kalon Creek meanders through our property, and the Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc vines benefit from the gravelly, silty Bale soil derived from an alluvial delta in this warm but temperate climate.
