Decanter.com 85 byGeorgina Hindlethe5/21/2025 Tannic and upfront, this is massy and feels a little pushed with a full mouthfeel but missing the fruit density and brightness to balance it out. A shot of mouthwatering acidity is in the background but this accentuates the austerity with some dry toastiness. Tasted twice.
The Wine Independent 84-86 byLisa Perrotti-Brownthe5/20/2025 Medium to deep garnet-purple in color. Rocks up with notes of minted strawberries and black raspberries, plus hints of cedar chest and wild thyme. The light to medium-bodied palate is slightly dominated by oak with chewy tannins and lean fruit, finishing short.
Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux 86 byJane Ansonthe5/7/2025 Cedar, sandalwood, carefully extracted, well judged, chalky tannins, soft fruits, grippy finish, rose buds, rose stems. Harvest 23 September to 7 October, 30% new oak for ageing.
A suivre. 2028-2038
